The 2027 move

Is JagFest still happening?

Yes — but not in October 2026. The festival has been postponed and is moving to 2027. New dates are not yet confirmed; they will be announced on the JagFest page as soon as they are.

I already bought a ticket. What happens now?

You will be refunded in full, and you don't need to do anything to start it. We will contact you directly using the email address on your order.

Your existing ticket and its QR code are no longer valid for entry. If you would rather talk to us first, get in touch through the enquiry form on the JagFest page.

Can I buy a ticket for 2027 now?

Not yet. Ticket sales are closed until the new dates are confirmed, and there is no waiting list to join. When passes go back on sale they will be announced on this site.

Getting here

Where is the festival?

JagFest is held at Te Awanga Downs, located at 34 Gordon Road, Te Awanga. The venue is the same location as the Clifton County Cricket Club and Outfield.

How do I get to the festival?

JagFest is located in the heart of Te Awanga. Turn onto Gordon Road (the second road on your right as you enter Te Awanga), continue to the end of the road, head up the hill onto the gravel driveway, and follow the directions from our traffic management team.

What are the festival opening hours?

  • Friday: 12.00pm – 3.00am (close down)
  • Saturday: 6.30am – 3.00am (close down)
  • Sunday: 6.30am – 1.00pm

Is parking free?

Yes. Free parking is available for all festival attendees.

Can I leave my vehicle overnight?

Yes. Vehicles may remain onsite overnight; however, they are left entirely at the owner's risk.

Are shuttle services available?

No. Shuttle services are not provided, so you'll need to arrange your own transport if required.

Will I need cash or EFTPOS?

We recommend bringing both. Many market stall holders accept cash, while selected vendors and food stalls will have EFTPOS available.

Are children free?

Yes. Children aged 14 years and under receive free entry when accompanied by a paying adult.

Do I need to print my ticket?

No. Printed tickets are not required. Simply present your ticket's QR code on your phone, tablet, or other mobile device upon arrival. If you prefer to bring a printed copy, you're more than welcome to do so.

Are pass-outs available?

Yes. You're welcome to leave and return throughout the festival. Please ensure your wristband remains on at all times, as it will be required for re-entry.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Yes. If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person. Please email us with the new attendee's details before the festival.

What happens if I can no longer attend JagFest?

Once the new dates are announced, if you are unable to attend you must notify JagFest in writing as soon as reasonably practicable and nominate a replacement attendee.

What happens if the festival is postponed due to weather?

If JagFest is postponed due to severe weather or other circumstances beyond our control, your ticket will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled festival. If you're unable to attend the new date, you're welcome to transfer your ticket to a nominated replacement attendee.

If the ticket holder is unable to attend the rescheduled event and is unable to nominate an approved replacement attendee, they may apply to JagFest for a refund.

Camping

Can I bring a campervan, caravan or tent?

Yes. We welcome tents, campervans, caravans and self-contained vehicles.

Are powered sites available?

No. Powered camping sites are not available.

What facilities are available in the campground?

Campers will have access to:

  • Toilets
  • Hot showers
  • A washing-up station for dishes
  • Drinking water

Food and drink

Will food and drinks be available?

Yes. A variety of food vendors and beverages will be available throughout the festival.

Will there be vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options?

Absolutely. Our food vendors will offer vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Can I bring my own food?

You're welcome to bring your own food for your campsite. However, outside food is not permitted within the main festival area.

Is drinking water available?

Yes. Free drinking water stations will be available throughout the venue. You're also welcome to bring your own reusable water bottle.

Workshops and lectures

Are workshops included in my ticket?

Yes. All workshops and lectures are included with your festival ticket.

Do I need to book workshops in advance?

No. As workshops are offered across multiple days, we're confident you'll have plenty of opportunities to attend the sessions that interest you most.

Accessibility

Is the site wheelchair accessible?

Yes. JagFest is wheelchair accessible; however, as the festival is held on a working farm, some areas may have uneven terrain.

Are accessible toilets available?

Yes. Accessible toilet facilities will be available onsite.

Is there accessible parking?

Yes. Accessible parking is available near the main entrance.

Animals

Can I bring my dog or other pets?

No. As JagFest is held on a working farm, pets are not permitted.

Are service dogs permitted?

Yes. Registered service dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead at all times.

Weather and sustainability

Will the festival go ahead if it rains?

Yes. JagFest will proceed in most weather conditions. In the unlikely event that severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances require the festival to be postponed, all tickets will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled event.

What sustainability initiatives does JagFest have?

JagFest is committed to reducing our environmental footprint wherever possible. Here's how we're helping:

  • We encourage guests to bring reusable cups, plates and drink bottles.
  • Recycling and waste stations are located throughout the venue.
  • We use eco-friendly products wherever possible.
  • No glass is permitted onsite.
